The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Nikola Selaković, had a working dinner in Cairo tonight with Osama Saleh, co-president of the Serbian-Egyptian Joint Business Council, and prominent Egyptian businessmen.

Minister Selaković acquainted the Egyptian businessmen with the reforms in our country initiated by President Aleksandar Vučić, the successes achieved in the field of economy in the last seven years, and presented the investment potentials of Serbia.

On this occasion, the head of Serbian diplomacy assessed that the two business communities must be much closer, and that the economic relations between Serbia and Egypt should follow the excellent political relations between the two countries.

The meeting also discussed the need to hold a meeting of the Joint Committee for Economic Cooperation soon, which would be followed by a session of the Serbian-Egyptian Joint Business Council.

During the working dinner, Egyptian businessmen expressed the view that reaching a free trade agreement between Serbia and Egypt would give a strong impetus to the improvement of economic cooperation between the two countries.

They are convinced that the establishment of a regular direct line between Serbia and Egypt, which would be of great importance for establishing better connections between business communities, would also contribute to that goal.
