At a meeting in Cairo with the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt Khaled El Enani highlighting that cooperation between Serbia and the Arab Republic of Egypt was developed and that the two countries were ready to further improve and encourage cooperation between cultural institutions in the field of cultural heritage protection.
Gojkovic noted that important cooperation in the field of preventing unauthorized trade in cultural artifacts, which was important to Serbia and AR Egypt among priority areas and that the exchange of experts in the field of protection of cultural heritage and the fight against unauthorized trade in cultural artifacts would be important for Serbian cultural institutions, and in this segment we should improve cooperation with Egyptian institutions that have significant experience in this area.
Gojkovic and El Enani stressed that it is of special importance to improve cooperation in both museuology, conservation and restoration and in that framework especially the National Museum in Belgrade and the Grand Egyptian Museum.
