Printer Friendly Version D. MARKOVIC PALMA AGREES IN EGYPT TO ESTABLISH SERBIAN-EGYPT ECONOMIC CONSORTIUM @ 9 January 2020 10:26 AM

The president of Jedinstvena Serbia, MP of the Parliament of the Republic of Serbia and President of the City Assembly of Jagodina Mr. Dragan Markovic Palma met in Hurghada, the capital of the Egyptian Red Sea region, on 1st of January 2020 with the newly elected governor of the Red Sea region, H.E. Amr Hanafi. H. E. Governor Amr Hanafi and Mr. Markovic discussed on a number of issues covering topics of politics and economy. During the meeting an emhasis was placed on excellent political relations and economic cooperation between the AR of Egypt and Republic of Serbia. The proposal presented by Mr. Markovic is to set up a joint  Serbian-Egyptian economic consortium with its headquarters in Serbia, which will be comprise  businessmen from Serbia and Egypt, with the aim of prioritizing products from Serbia for what  Egyptian imports, especially in sphere of  agricultural products. The aim of consortium would also be to see what are the products that can be marketed from Egypt to the Serbian market. It was agreed that as early as February, a political and economic delegation of Egypt, headed by H.E Governor Hanafi, would come to Serbia.   

The Serbian delegation  included Serbia's Ambassador to Egypt H.E Jugoslav Vukadinovic, Advisor to Serbian Energy Minister Mr. Zivotije Jovanovic, Mayor of City of Jagodina Mr.Ratko Stevanovic, Pomoravlje District Mayor Mr.Goran Milosavljevic, and Pomoravsky District Education Chief Mr.Zivota Starcevic.
