The embassy of the Republic of Serbia has drawn up a list of heads of mission in Cairo as a part of the 111th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two friendly countries. The list starts with Panta Gavrilovic the first diplomatic agent in 1907, to this day. It is essential to mention Jovan Dučić who, after Jovanović Jovan Pizon, was the second head of diplomatic mission in Cairo.

The embassy of R. Serbia in Cairo is working on a project commemorating "Eighth centuries of Diplomatic Relations" between Egypt and Serbia in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities, which will be marked in 2035, in honor of the first meeting of Saint Sava and the then Sultan, Malik El Camil. Written artifacts and gifts awarded by the Egyptian Sultan back in 1235 are in the treasury of the Monastery of Chilandar on Mount Athos.
