On June the 24th, in Cairo, H.E. Maja Gojković met with the President of  AR Egypt  H.E. Abdel Fatah al-Sisi. During the meeting, Mrs. Gojković and President Sisi discussed all aspects of improving bilateral cooperation between  Republic of  Serbia and AR Egypt and pointed out that the two countries are linked with traditionally good and friendly relations. The President of the Republic of Egypt H.E.  Fatah el Sisi informed the President of the National Assembly  Mrs. Gojkovic on the political and economic stability and development of modern Egypt and presented the projects for further development of Egypt.  Mrs. Gojković informed President Sisi with the political and economic situation in Serbia, and availed particular gratitude  for Egyptian understanding towards the stance of the Republic of Serbia in relation to the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and the persistance of the Republic of Serbia to find a lasting, sustainable and compromise solution for the stability of both Serbia and the wider region . The interlocutors discussed economic aspects of cooperation and in this context emphasized the importance of the forthcoming Mixed Committee meeting, which will be a good opportunity to sign numerous agreements that will improve the cooperation between Serbia and Egypt. Mrs. Gojkovic  informed the President of Egypt with the outstanding  cooperation of the two parliaments, as well as the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, which will elevate cooperation at a higher institutional level.
President Sisi greeted the Serbian President  H.E. Aleksandar Vucic with whom he had the opportunity to speak on the margins of multilateral meetings and stressed that he accepted the invitation and is expecting  that he would soon come to an official visit to the Republic of Serbia.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador of R. Serbia in Egypt, H.E. Mr. Jugoslav Vukadinovic, as well as members of the delegation of the Serbian Parliament, the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Mr. Zarko Obradovic and the President of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Egypt, Mrs. Dubravka Filipovski.
