In the period from 03.11. until 06.11. 2018 in the Egyptian Sharm El Sheikh resort, the World Youth Forum was held for the second time in a row under the auspices of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi.
Several thousand participants were present at the event including a large number of Egyptian and foreign officials, representatives of diplomatic missions and organizations accredited to Cairo, as well as representatives of sports organizations and associations from around the world.
The World Youth Forum is traditionally held once a year in Egypt (Sharm El Sheikh) in order to link and enhance the relationship between promising young people from around the world who are determined to contribute to younger generations in order to achieve their goals.
On this occasion, representatives of the Republic of Serbia, Jelena Jevtić from Niš, student of the generation of the American Bluefield State College and Vukašin Grozdanović, the Coordinator of the OPENS 2019 Initiative in the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Cairo, Jugoslav Vukadinović took part in the event.
Vukašin Grozdanović emphasized the importance of the Initiative OPENS 2019 for the needs of youth and the implementation of activities in partnership with different organizations. We note in particular that the city of Novi Sad was proclaimed the Youth Capital of Europe for 2019 in Varna (Bulgaria), bearing in mind the development and promotion of youth policy as well as the relationship and cooperation among young people through the implementation of numerous projects and programs, which simultaneously contributes to the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
