STUDENT PAINTING COMPETITION AND JURED EXHIBITION
“TRADITIONAL EGYPTIAN MOTIFS”
CALL FOR THE STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ART EDUCATION
OF HELWAN UNIVERSITY

             Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Cairo has the honor to call undergraduate and graduate students from the faculty of Art Education of the Helwan University, to submit their artistic creation for Juried Art Exhibition and students Art Competition with cash awards donated from suppliers.
            Juried Art Exhibition and students Art Competition are open for undergraduate and graduate students of the Faculty of Art Education of the Helwan University. The national citizens can apply with one artwork representing traditional Egyptian motifs.
            The purpose of the contest is to show the possibilities of artistic creation and creativity of the Egyptian young students/artists from the Faculty of Art Education of the Helwan University. Students Art Competition has the following tasks:

-to give undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to share their experience in a special exhibition that provides visibility for their work
-to give students the opportunity to meet and share ideas
-to recognize and reward outstanding student art expression

            All accepted art works will be exhibited in Gallery of the Helwan University
            The prizes will be awarded to first five artworks: 1st place: 1 artwork, 2nd place: 2 artworks and 3rd place 2 artworks. These five winning artworks will complement the art collection of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Cairo.
            Submissions may be made to Gallery Manager of the Faculty of Art Education.
Submission deadline is till April 17th 2016 in Gallery Ahmed Basiuny.
            For the other artistic artworks will be organized at art auction whose proceeds will be earmarked to help schools in Egypt. Of all the painting sold at auction, students will have a 20% percentage of revenue.
Be informed that the Auction for the remainder of the last year artworks would be organized during May 2016 as agreed between Embassy of the Republic of Serbia and Faculty of Art Education HU.
